Dear Members,
Our club has donated $3000 to the Master Gardeners "Educational Rain Garden Project.
Other sponsors include MSU Extension Master Gardeners, Tipp of the Mitt Watershed Council, Emmet Co. Conservaton District and the Little Traverse Conservancy.
The primary objective of the Rain Garden is to install a demonstration project in Emmet Co. to show how the residents and businesses can control storm water runoff.
The 120'x40'project is located near the Health Dept. on M119. Native plants are to be used.
Our donation is being used to purchase the perennials, trees, and shrubs.
Below is a notice we recently received on a request for workday help. Please consider helping out that day and getting a "hands on" learning experience with rain gardens.
